Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 28.09.2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings for treatments and purchases of gift vouchers from Chiltern Wellness (“Chiltern Wellness”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By booking a treatment or purchasing a gift voucher, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. Our services
Chiltern Wellness provides reflexology and other complementary wellbeing treatments as described on our website.
Our treatments are complementary therapies intended to support relaxation and general wellbeing. They are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment or advice from a GP, consultant or other healthcare professional.
We do not diagnose medical conditions or claim to cure or specifically treat medical conditions.
If you have a medical condition or are unsure whether a treatment is appropriate for you, you should seek appropriate medical advice.
2. Consultation and suitability for treatment
Before your first treatment, you will be asked to complete a consultation and health questionnaire.
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about your health, medication, pregnancy, injuries, recent surgery, allergies and any other information that may be relevant to your treatment.
You must tell us about any significant changes to your health or medication before subsequent treatments.
We may ask additional questions before or during a treatment.
For your safety, we may modify, postpone or decline treatment where we consider that treatment is not appropriate or safe in the circumstances.
If we reasonably consider that you need medical assessment or advice before treatment can proceed, we may ask you to seek this before making or continuing an appointment and you may be asked to sign an indemnity form if you choose to ignore our advice and insist that treatment proceeds anyway.
3. Booking appointments
Appointments can be booked through our website or by any other booking method made available by Chiltern Wellness.
Your appointment is confirmed once the booking has been accepted.
The price applicable to your treatment will be the price displayed or otherwise communicated to you at the time of booking.
We reserve the right to change our treatment prices from time to time. Changes will not affect a booking that has already been confirmed.
4. Payment
Unless otherwise stated at the time of booking, payment for treatments is due at the end of the treatment.
We accept the payment methods displayed or otherwise communicated by Chiltern Wellness.
We may introduce deposits or advance payment requirements in the future. If we do so, the applicable requirement and amount will be clearly communicated before you make the relevant booking.
Any deposit or advance payment will be subject to applicable consumer law.
5. Cancellation and rearrangement by you
We understand that circumstances can change.
If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please give us at least 48 hours' notice wherever possible.
Appointments cancelled or rearranged with at least 48 hours' notice will normally be moved to another suitable appointment without charge.
If you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice 50% of your treatment fee is charged. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice or do not attend your appointment 100% of your treatment fee is charged.
Any cancellation or non-attendance charge will be reasonable and proportionate to the circumstances, taking into account any loss or costs reasonably incurred by Chiltern Wellness and whether the appointment can be rebooked.
We may waive or reduce a cancellation charge where we consider it appropriate, including in cases of unexpected illness or exceptional circumstances.
A cancellation charge will not apply where doing so would conflict with your statutory consumer rights.
6. Late arrival
Please arrive on time for your appointment.
If you arrive late, your treatment may need to be shortened to avoid affecting another client's appointment.
Where a treatment is shortened because of your late arrival, the normal treatment price may remain payable.
If you arrive so late that it is no longer reasonably possible to provide the treatment safely or appropriately, we may treat the appointment as a late cancellation or non-attendance.
Any resulting charge will remain subject to the fairness and proportionality requirements of applicable consumer law.
7. Cancellation or rearrangement by Chiltern Wellness
We may occasionally need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, for example because of illness, an emergency, safety concerns or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where we cancel an appointment, we will normally offer you an alternative appointment.
If an appointment cannot be rearranged and you have already paid for the treatment, we will provide any refund that is due.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
8. Gift vouchers
Chiltern Wellness sells physical gift vouchers which are normally provided directly to the purchaser or recipient.
Gift vouchers may also be emailed to the purchaser or recipient on request.
Unless otherwise stated on the voucher:
Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
The expiry date will be stated on the voucher or purchase confirmation.
Gift vouchers may be redeemed against eligible treatments offered by Chiltern Wellness.
Gift vouchers:
cannot be exchanged for cash;
cannot be used to purchase another gift voucher;
cannot be used after their expiry date, subject to any statutory rights;
must not be copied, duplicated or altered;
may be refused where we reasonably believe a voucher has been fraudulently obtained, altered, duplicated or previously redeemed.
We recommend that vouchers are kept safely. Chiltern Wellness cannot normally replace a lost or stolen voucher unless we are able to verify the original purchase and confirm that the voucher has not already been redeemed.
9. Gift voucher expiry
Gift vouchers expire 12 months after the date of purchase.
The expiry date will be communicated clearly to the purchaser.
Clients are responsible for allowing sufficient time to arrange and attend an appointment before the voucher expires.
An appointment booked before the expiry date but taking place after the expiry date will only be accepted with our agreement.
We may, at our discretion, extend an expired voucher in exceptional circumstances, but we are not obliged to do so unless required by law.
10. Gift voucher cancellation rights
Where a gift voucher is purchased online, statutory cancellation rights may apply.
These rights will depend on the circumstances of the purchase and how the voucher is supplied.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes or restricts any statutory cancellation or refund rights that apply to you.
Where the law gives you a right to cancel, we will provide the refund required by law.
11. Online bookings and statutory cancellation rights
Where you book a treatment through our website, additional statutory rights may apply depending on the nature of the contract and the circumstances in which the booking is made.
Where applicable, we will provide information about your statutory cancellation rights before you are bound by the contract.
If you ask us to provide a treatment during a statutory cancellation period, we may ask you to expressly request that the treatment begins during that period and acknowledge the consequences explained to you by law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights.
12. Treatment prices
Our current treatment prices will be displayed on our website or otherwise communicated to you before purchase. Gift voucher prices are in alignment with treatment prices.
Prices may be changed from time to time.
A price change will not affect a treatment booking or gift voucher purchase that has already been confirmed.

Please see our Privacy Notice for further information.
15. Our responsibility to you
Chiltern Wellness will provide services with reasonable care and skill as required by applicable consumer law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot legally be excluded or limited.
16. Changes to these Terms & Conditions
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The Terms & Conditions applying to a particular booking or purchase will normally be the version in force when the relevant contract was made, unless a change is required by law or otherwise agreed with you.
17. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you will also have the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
